Sampling Sampling is the act of taking a portion of a track (either one or more sounds, notes or loops) and reusing it in a different track. In this lesson we discuss how to take a clip from a music track and bring it into Traktor or Serato Scratch Pro to be used in a DJ mix. We use Ableton Live to create the loop, but if you don’t own Ableton Live, you can use a number of other paid and free software programs to create a sample.
